How to Play

In Assassins & Assets, players take on the roles of skilled assassins vying for dominance in the dangerous underworld. The objective is to eliminate your opponents' assets while protecting your own to become the last assassin standing.

ASSETS Deck

Contains 40 ASSET cards, each representing a different international character with unique abilities, traits and backstory. 

There are 10 categories: Federal Judge,  Attorney, Whistleblower, Mole, Sleeper Agent, Dirty Cop, Politician, Informant, King Pin and Journalist. 

ASSASSINS Deck

Consists of SURVEILLANCE, COUNTER SURVEILLANCE, FATALITY,  LOCATIONS, CACHES, VEHICLES, ACTIONS, INTEL, MISSIONS, ALLIES and TRAINING, cards all used to ultimately expose and eliminate assets.

BREAKING NEWS

4 Game changing effects that influence all players when revealed: INSURRECTION, PANDEMIC OUTBREAK, FINANCIAL MARKET CRASH and DRAMZ SATELLITE PROGRAM. 

Shuffling

Recruit 2-6 players

Separate all 40 ASSETS cards from the set. This pile will be known as the ASSETS deck. The remaining 140 cards are the ASSASSINS Deck

Separate the 4 BREAKING NEWS cards.

Shuffle the ASSASSINS Deck.

Deal 5 cards to each player.

Randomly insert the 4 BREAKING NEWS  cards  back in the deck face up. 

The ASSASSINS Deck is now the draw pile, place in the center.

Shuffle and distribute the ASSETS, face-down to each player. The remaining ASSETS are placed adjacent to the ASSASSINS deck.

Distribution

2- Players = 10 ASSETS 

3-4 Players = 8 ASSETS

5-6 Players = 6 ASSETS

Decks

3 Piles of cards in the center, Left to Right: remaining ASSETS Deck, ASSASSINS Deck, Discard Pile.

Hand

Players hold a 5 card hand.

Player Area

Players arrange their ASSETS (6-10) face down in a horizontal row known as ASSETS ROW.  

An additional horizontal row called the FRONTLINE, will eventually be built above ASSETS ROW, with various card types. 

No matter the distribution of ASSETS, the FRONTLINE can never surpass 5 base cards. (see FRONTLINE section for further details)

Start

After the cards have been set, the Player left of the dealer begins the action. 

Turns

The game proceeds clockwise, with players taking turns.

Playing Cards

During a players turn, they can play as many cards as they want from their hand. 

FRONTLINE

Your FRONTLINE is your 1st defense and offense in protecting and eliminating ASSETS. 

5 base cards may be placed on a FRONTLINE, these are: 

LOCATION, TRANSPORTATION, CACHES and TRAINING.
